God has given us the land. Go in and possess the land. Those were the rallying cries for the nation of Israel after God brought them out of Egyptian bondage. God gave them the promise that His angel would go before them and drive out their enemies. All Israel had to do was obey Him. It was their time, their season to go in and possess the land for their children and their children’s children. Before them, was the greatest move of God in their generation. Israel, God’s people, had set before them life and death that they might choose life. They just needed to believe their God. Have faith and trust Him. And here’s the point of this Pastor’s Pen. That when Israel had the victory in their hands they fainted at the sight of opposition. When they realized they would have to face some giants and that they would have to pay a price that the promise be realized, they fainted. When they realized that it wouldn’t be easy and they would have to work hard to bring the vision to pass, they fainted. When they realized that God was not going to do their part and they couldn’t do His part, they fainted. When they realized that it would take great sacrifice in order that they possess the promises, they fainted. What the Old Testament Church overlooked was that with the benefits comes responsibility. With the blessings comes opposition. When God elevates you then prepare for battle. The opposition is real and it will sometimes come from those you thought were for you but in reality , they’re against you. Always present are your Korahs, Dathans, Abirams , Ons, Sanballats , Tobiahs, and Geshems in opposition to the visions God gives to the men and women of God. But in the spirit of Joshua and Caleb “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it,” Num. 13:30 (KJV). Keep the Vision Alive!
