Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, 4-28-24

Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison • April 28, 2024

Well praise God from whom all blessings flow. The renovations that are well under way at the Church are progressing smoothly and, as a matter of fact, it looks like Santiago Construction is ahead of schedule. God have given us favor with the weather and the work looks great. God is giving us favor in every area of this project as well and we give Him all of the praise, glory, & honor for the great things He has done. When we put feet to our faith God will be glorified, He’ll give us favor with God and man, and the work that He have begun in every one of us, He is faithful to complete it. We want to do ministry in the spirit of excellence and integrity. When we give God our all He said in His Word, Luke 6:38 (KJV): 38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. God will give us favor with man. Our monetary giving will be blessed as well, 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 (KJV): 6  But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.   8  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9  (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.   10  Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;). We can’t outgive God. The more we give, the more He gives back to us. Favor, favor, favor, will flow in our direction and God be glorified. Hallelujah!

As we progress into this year of 2025 the Word of God is clear concerning the times that we find ourselves in. It’s a time of prophecy coming to pass. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in this generation is a sign of the times. The young men seeing visions, the elder men dreaming dreams, servants and handmaidens receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit is all coming to pass and this present-day Church is in the midst of all that God is doing in this hour. The plans and purposes of the kingdom do not hinge on the plans and purposes of the world. God’s will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven. His will for them that believe shall be done and our part is to stay focused on the kingdom. We walk by faith and not by sight regardless of current events. We are blessed. Our children are blessed. Our spouses are blessed. Our families are blessed. Our fellow Christians are blessed. That was the children’s bread under the Old Covenant, Deut. 28:1-14. Yet, we’ve obtained a better covenant with better promises in Christ, Heb. 8:6. The Word is our lamp and light. The Holy Spirit is our guide. Most importantly our personal relationship with God, our fellowship, communion, coupled with prayer, praise, and worship, all of which ensures our understanding of the times, plans, and purposes of God for our generation. As we remain steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, we are reminded of these things while also keeping our loved ones, fellow saints, neighbors, and friends, and even our enemies, lifted up in prayer and believing God that in spite of what it looks like, we don’t walk by what it looks like but by what the Word of God says. Isaiah 55:11 (KJV): 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 2-23-25 Matthew 28:20 (KJV) 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 5:13-16 (KJV) 13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Notice that Jesus did not say that the Church is the way by which men must be saved. Jesus is the only name under Heaven by which men must be saved. He did not say if you confess with your mouth the Church, but if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in you heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. God never commanded the Church to save anybody. Of course we want men to be saved, but only God can save men. What He commanded the Church to do is be the salt of the earth, that city on a hill, and the light of the world. To be salt is to use our influence to encourage others to Christ and be that example before them so that they see God in us. To be the light is to be living epistles, living examples of what and how a Christian ought to live. A city on a hill is letting the world see your example in Christ, by your actions. The Church is commissioned to go into the world and preach the gospel, Matt. 28:18-20; to be a witness, Acts 1:8; and to be a light, Matt. 5:13-16. We can’t save anybody but like many of those who we were influenced by, we can be light to this generation. Ours is to be an influence, nudging men to Christ as they see our example and His goodness. Light in darkness leads people to salvation. We can’t save anyone, but we can lead them to the One who can. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 2-16-25 Mark 16:20 (KJV) 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. There’s a storm out, over the ocean, and it’s moving this old way. If your soul’s not, anchored in Jesus, you will surely drift away. Drift away Lord, drift away Lord. You will surely drift away. If your soul’s not, anchored in Jesus, you will surely drift away. What an appropriate song for such a time as this. We had better be anchored in the Lord, for when the rains come, and the winds blow, and the floods, and the storms come, because they will come, our trust had better be in Christ. Everything is going down but the Word of God. Matthew 5:18 (KJV): 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. There’s also another thing that’s coming, and that is that the will of God being done on this earth as it is in Heaven. God will purge the old things away in this earth and He will make all things new. 2 Peter 3:10-13 (KJV): 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. The people of God are blessed because we have His Word, the light and the lamp, to guide us and illuminate the path ahead for us that we may know that the time is at hand and His coming is nearer than before. Be ye ready when He comes. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 2-9-25 Deuteronomy 29:29 (KJV) 29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. The 21 Day Consecration is always a blessing to my spirit man, but this 2025 21 Day Consecration was especially uplifting in the Word of faith concerning this season of outpouring. God said by the prophet Joel in Joel 2:28-29 (KJV): 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. Peter quoted that prophesy by Joel on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was given to the Church, the called out ones, the ekklesia. Many in the Church today called the day of Pentecost the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It was a prophesy revealed by other watchmen in the kingdom as well. Ezekiel 36:26-27 (KJV): 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. In the denominational Churches there are different emphasis on what demonstrates you’ve received the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues, shouting or dancing in the Holy Ghost, the new birth, being endued with power, experiencing visions and dreams, and all of these are scriptural, but in Ezekiel there’s some very powerful revelation concerning the Holy Spirit’s outpouring and that is that God said He would give His people a new heart and take away the stony heart. By His Spirit He would also cause His people to walk in His statutes, keep His judgments, and do them. That is the greatest sign that others can see that is a sure sign that you have God’s Spirit on the inside of you. You will obey His commandments and do them. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 2-2-25 Ezekiel 36:26 (KJV) 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Saints, don’t be distracted by current events as they are being unveiled on a regular basis now. Our hearts have been trained to the true and living God and there’s no God like our God. Even if I turn my head from looking at all the proof of His existence by the things that He have created, it don’t change the revelation of God and whether we believe in Him or not, He’s still God. We live in a world of calling right wrong and wrong right, good evil and evil good, like it’s no big deal at all. Well, it’s a huge deal. It’s a Heaven or Hell big deal. Yet, the world goes on like we’re all going to live in our present state forever. Men live like there is no God, as if there won’t be an accounting before God of the deeds we’ve committed in these bodies, as if there won’t be a judgment for all people. Many are deceived today, but did not the Word of God warn us of these things? Luke 17:26-30 (KJV): 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. The Word is our lamp and our light to guide us through the waters of this life until we fulfill our destinies. 1 John 2:15-17 (KJV): 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. If I stop seeing, I stop dreaming. If I stop dreaming, I stop living. If I stop living, I start dying, and the devil is a liar. I want to live and not die, and in living, I am full of vision, seeing, and dreaming. I am full of enthusiasm, life, and expectation. Faith is expectation. I’m full of expectancy. My faith is in expectation 24-7’s. How could we not be full of expectation when we’re full of the Word of God. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV): 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. If we lose hope then we find ourselves in a bad place. Hope keeps us alive. Hope keeps us looking forward to the next day. Hope is a part of faith along with expectation. Hope is that life spark that keeps us putting our left foot in front of our right foot, in other words hope keeps us engaged. We need hope and that hope is in nothing less than Jesus Christ and His righteousness. God gives us hope through visions and dreams just like He did with Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob. Just the fact that He gives men visions, and dreams is proof that God communicates through those means. He wants us to live! Father, help us not to leave any vision or dream when we finish our course in this life, but let us run this race with patience looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. This same Jesus is coming back for His glorious Church without spot or wrinkle. See, that’s the other thing that plays a part in our hope today and that is that this is about eternity. We’ve got to see pass this earthly pilgrimage and see the eternal. Our hope is in a kingdom that will be established on earth by our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. A kingdom that will never be destroyed but will be a kingdom from everlasting to everlasting to the glory of God. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. God gave Joseph a couple of dreams in Gen. 37 when Joseph was at the young age of 17. The dreams basically revealed that Joseph would become ruler over his parents and his older brothers. Joseph was 30 years of age when he became ruler in Egypt under Pharaoh, 13 years from the day he received the dreams until their fulfillment. What happened between the dreams and their fulfillment is worth noting because Christians often see the glory of those blessed leaders in the kingdom of God not knowing the story behind their success. Joseph was thrown in a pit by his own brothers. Then they took him out of the pit only to be sold into slavery. He was lied on and accused of sexual harassment by Potiphar’s wife. Potiphar threw Joseph into prison. It was in prison where Joseph interpreted the dreams of a butler and a baker. The baker, when released from prison, heard that Pharaoh also dreamed a dream but was not privy to it’s interpretation. The baker spoke to Pharaoh of Joseph and God used Joseph to interpret the dream for Pharaoh and he gave him understanding on what to do to prepare Egypt for the years of plenty and the years of famine. Pharaoh then promoted Joseph second only to him. 13 years from the promise to it’s fulfillment. Many would have given up and thrown in the towel. Joseph’s faith was in his God though. Even though his own brothers wronged him Joseph understood that the hand of God was upon him to set him up for the establishing of the nation of Israel. Every great leader in the Bible had their battles and much opposition. Moses, Elijah, the Apostles, Jesus, etc., and we too should not think it strange for the fights we find ourselves in, especially if you’re being used mightily for His glory. We become stronger, better, and wiser. To God be the glory for the great things He have done. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. The clock is ticking and here we are in a new season as 2024 has ended and we’re now in this new season of 2025, “The Season of Visions.” The season of “seeing” what the Father sees for our lives. Visions, pictures, imaginations, to gaze at, to see our future and where we’re going before we get there. Knowing that God have given His people the grace for victory and to achieve, accomplish and bring to pass every dream He have sowed into our hearts. Victory over every obstacle, every hinderance and opposition, including the sin and weight that so easily besets us. Our minds are made up. As Elder Massey would say sometimes, “I’ve drawn the line devil.” But we’ve got to see it. See it in our minds. Proverbs 23:7 (KJV): 7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. In Mark 8:22-26, a blind man was brought to Jesus for the Lord to heal him. Jesus spit on his eyes and asked the man what he saw, and the blind man said, “I see men as trees walking.” Jesus then put His hands upon his eyes the second time, and the man was completely healed in his eyes and could see clearly. The Lord is opening our eyes to the devices of the enemy that we may see clearly, and without any kind of confusion, the thing that weighs His people down, not only is the Lord taking the mask off the devil, and not only is the Lord revealing what’s blocking and trying to stop us, trying to derail our faith and get us to focus on our problems more so than the answer, which is Jesus Christ, but God is giving us the grace, power, and authority to get the victory over it. But what’s our part to do? The Lord is not going to do our part, and we can’t do His part. The sooner we get the sight in our minds that we can do it, the sooner it will get done. Peace! In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Mark 8:25 (KJV) 25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. This time of year is a humbling time for me because of the great love demonstrated by our God. An unconditional love that I can’t imagine in my mind what this world would be like without the love of God. We can see what this age is like without His love and the rejection of that love by many today. Yet, you and I are very blessed that we are recipients of and have accepted the love of the Father. He gave the apex of His love through His Son, our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, the gift that keeps on giving. He has carried me from my first breath to the last breath that I breathe. He has always been there for me and I love Him with all my heart with all my mind and with all my soul. This Christmas season is an awesome time of celebration. I imagine the wise men that came unto the consolation of Israel and brought expensive gifts unto the baby Jesus and worshipped Him as we should worship Him today. I can imagine in my mind the excitement in their hearts as they were guided by the bright and shining star to the One who would take away the sin of the world. How their hearts raced with anticipation to see Emmanuel, God with us. The Savior of the world was right there before their eyes and they would be blessed to witness it. His birth brought peace into the world, peace with our Creator and peace with one another. As the angel heralded in Luke 2:14 (KJV): 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And that is where this time of year is so humbling and consoling to me, that His peace is accessible and present for all. My prayer for our world is that it receives the peace of God, that troubled hearts are healed, and unsettling minds are calmed by the knowledge of Him and the hurting stops, and the celebration of life begins. Enjoy a prosperous Christmas everyone and a blessed New Year. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A.
