The Calling of God, The Personal Testimony of Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison

I've shared my personal testimony on why I'm convinced of the call of God on my life in which I have and am answering. It's my greatest encouragement outside of my personal relationship with the Lord and my family. At around 3 a.m. one morning I woke up with the scripture verse Isaiah 6:8 impressed in my spirit. I didn't remember what that verse read at the time, but it was strong in my spirit, so strong that I woke my wife and shared with her what I was experiencing. She got her Bible and looked up Isaiah 6:8 (KJV). "Also, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." I can't really explain what I felt at that moment. I always sensed that it would happen, but I was fearful of it because I saw how preachers were treated. I kept it to myself and my wife. Sometime later I was shopping at a West Superstore in the old Brunswick Mall in Brunswick Ga. and as I entered the store, I distinctly remember taking notice of a fine luxury car pulling into the parking lot. I proceeded into West and purchased the items I needed and as I got into my truck that car that I had noticed before pulled up beside my truck. The gentleman driving introduced himself and a well-dressed elderly lady in the rear seat. The gentleman asked me would I be willing to receive a Word from the Lord spoken to me by the elderly lady in the back seat. I answered in the affirmative. The elderly lady asked me was I in ministry and I responded that I was a deacon in the Church where I attended. She said, "No! God is raising you up for such a time as this to preach His Word. Prepare yourself and begin to get yourself ready for the task at hand, for it will surely happen and shall come to pass, saith the Lord." I responded that I received that Word and the gentleman, and the elderly lady drove off. I never saw them before then and I've never seen them since. I shared the incident with my wife, my youngest sister Denise, and her husband James. As I shared the account of the incident with them, I told my sister that I would go to Church services with them the next Sunday in Jesup Ga. The Asst. Pastor was preaching that Sunday, Stanley Carter. Pastor Carter approached the podium and said, "I want everybody to turn in your Bibles to Isaiah 6:8. The title of my message today is, "Answer Your Call." I looked at my sister and my brother-in-law and have been running for the Lord ever since.
