In the great commission the Lord made a promise to the Church that is encouraging to every Believer. “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world,” Matt. 28:20 (KJV). What a powerful assurance from our Savior to His body, the Church. David said in Ps. 23:4 (KJV): “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Throughout His Word, God assures His people that He is there with them. “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest,” Josh. 1:9 (KJV). He is a present help in the time of need. Knowing that He Who gave His life for us is always there to protect us, provide for us and fellowship with us, is comforting. “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you,” Jn. 14:16, 17 (KJV). He is with us and in every Believer that we may have communion and fellowship with Him. I draw strength from this revelation. Regardless of circumstances, winds, rains, or storms, He is always there. No matter what we are going through, as long as we have God on our side, we’re victorious. Nothing can separate us from His love. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depths, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord,” Rom. 8:38, 39 (KJV). Know that our God loves us and has our best interest at heart. He will never leave us or forsake us and that I believe with my whole heart. Trust Him today and give Him the praise due unto His name. Amen!
