Jesus sacrificed His life paying the ultimate price to take away the sin of the world. His expiatory death satisfied God’s justice providing a way out of no way for the redemption of man. Men have been blinded by Satan to his spiritual predicament even though we’ve been blessed with the abundance of revelation. No wonder that many perish. We have rejected so great a salvation. In every generation, including the present one, God has His remnant that will be the witness to that generation. In this season of celebration, I pray that the people of God latch on to the things that are eternal. Christmas is about His love, provision, His sacrifice, His redemptive plan for man, our spiritual Father who loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. There are those in this season who don’t have the blessing of enjoying the celebration of Christmas that many do. They have been separated from God’s best for their lives because that’s what sin does. It separates us from God’s best for our lives. But our spiritual Father has given us power over sin and its twins sickness and poverty. These are what we as Christians should celebrate not excluding the other traditional Christmas activities. That God gave His Son. The Son gave His life. The Life set us free. Freedom from the bondage of sin. Freedom from Satan’s dominion. Freedom from death. Freedom from poverty, sickness, and disease. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. The message during this season of celebration is: “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men,” Lk. 2:10-14 (KJV).
