God is faithful to His Word. The Word is the Believer’s lifeline. Anyone who loves the Lord can testify concerning what God’s Word means to them. How often we have found ourselves in battles where we struggled to understand how we got ourselves in the mess we found ourselves in. Then His Word is the strength to our souls that gets us over the top and propels us into victory because the victory is in our faith, 1 Jn. 5:4. Or we have faced emotional roller-coastal rides but when we got our minds off of our problems and on the answer which is the Word of God and we begin to hope again, strength came and peace was restored because genuine faith in God’s Word is going to produce victory in the lives of the believing ones. Faith is believing God to the point of acting on what you believe. Believing alone is not faith but when you put action with your believing then we are in faith . The danger for us as Christians is when we hear a particular teaching over and over again we tend to take it for granted and it does not have the designed impact it should have on the Believer. The ground of the heart must be cultivated continually and we must rid it of the spiritual weeds that creep in and choke out the desired ends that God have in mind in the first place. Our believing will be hindered when we allow hatred, animosity, and unforgiveness to choke the faith right out of us. I’ve grown to appreciate the phrase “guard your heart,” meaning to set a watch on what we allow to get down in our hearts. These things happen ever so subtle, unknowingly, and in many cases subconsciously as we expose ourselves to certain conversations and behaviors. We must make a conscious effort to inventory what’s in our hearts if we are to be successful in maintaining a spiritual well-being all to the glory of God. Keep the Vision Alive!
