“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” Rom. 3:23 (KJV). Man needs a savior. Rom. 3:23 and the entire Bible teaches us that man needs a savior. The people who do not admit their need for a savior will never seek for one. None of us are perfect and never will be, yet the Father sees us perfect in Christ. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me,” Gal 2:20 (KJV). Without the knowledge of this revelation men become arrogant, full of pride and inflated in their self-worth. As a people we must realize our total insufficiency and deficiency apart from Christ, but with God all things are possible. We all are striving to walk worthy of our calling in Christ that others may know that there is a God in Heaven. We all strive to glorify our Father and to be the apple of His eye, and in Christ we are, legally. In order that we allow our identification with Christ to manifest experientially we must practice what we preach. That includes not judging one another when we make mistakes but as Gal. 6:1 reads, we should consider our own shortcomings. “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” In this day and age when it’s tempting to point out the faults of others and ignore our own, we all must understand that we need a savior. With that revelation we should all pray for one another, holding each other accountable in love and not gossip and destroy one another’s reputation, but covering one another in agape love.
