“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this,” Is. 9:6, 7 (KJV). The timeless truth of His salvation is offered to all men but received only by them that believe. No greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend. What kind of love is this? It’s the agape love of God. The creative, redemptive, good will toward all men. The love that only comes from the Father. That transforming love from glory that permeates the total being affecting renewal to the recipient of that love. A love so powerful, so heavenly, that it separated time into b.c. and a.d. A love that divides even to this day between them that believe and them that do not, like the allegory of the two sons of Abraham. “For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a free woman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the free woman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Hagar. For this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now,” Gal. 4:22-26, 28, 29 (KJV).
