The Board of Directors and I met on this past Thursday, March 19, 2020 to plan for how Calvary Christian Center will handle the situation going forward concerning the COVID-19 (Corona Virus). As every partner, by now already know, we have cancelled all services until further notice to protect our partners and obey the guidelines of our elected officials. We must do our part in the spiritual, as well as in the natural, to fight against this pandemic. In the spiritual, every partner at CCC has been taught of our authority in Christ. Therefore, saints of God, walk in that authority according to the Word of God, Matt. 16:17-19 (KJV): “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” This is not the time to respond in fear and panic for 2 Tim. 1:7 (KJV) reads: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” But we should use wisdom in the spiritual, as well as the natural realm, and follow the truths of God’s Word. I also want to encourage our partners that CCC is here for it’s parishioners to meet the needs of our people if it’s within our ability. We need partners to continue their giving during this time of challenge by either mailing in your tithes and offerings to our post office address which is as follows: Calvary Christian Center, P. O. Box 192, Waverly Ga., 31565, or you may go online and give on our secure website at cccwaverly.org. A receipt will be emailed to you as well as to the church to be recorded. For accurate information about COVID-19 in our area visit the Georgia Department of Public Health at dph.ga.gov , or the Coastal Health District at GaCHD.org serving Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh counties.
