In this season of uncertainty and confusion due to the COVID-19 pandemic, protests against injustices in our country, and the political climate, it’s no wonder that many people are searching for answers to why and look to the Church to provide direction, consolation, and comfort during this time only to find that the place where they should find truth and honesty they find more confusion. The Church must always reflect the will of Heaven. “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven,” Matt. 6:10 (KJV), and this regardless of skin color, political party affiliation, social status, or economic persuasion. God is the same God of the Bible yesterday, today, and forever. He has not changed. The change is with those who confess that He is Lord in their lives. This is more than just a confession of faith, but in action, we practice what we preach. We truly believe in the power of God. That is the difference between those who say they believe and those who truly believe. Do we really believe in the power of God? If so, then why don’t we experience His power more in these times. One of the signs of the end times is that people will have an outward form of religion but not allow the power of God to transform their lives. “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away,” 2 Tim. 3:5 (KJV). If we really believe in the God of the Bible then Believers are at an advantage over them who do not believe. The message of Christ is hope for the world today. The Church still has the answer, Jesus Christ. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God,” 1 Jn. 5:4, 5 (KJV). Because men have moved away from God we have lost our zeal and enthusiasm. If there’s a time that the Church must walk in power and authority, it’s now. Keep the Vision Alive!
