“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world,” 1 Pet. 5:6-9 (KJV). Here’s the mindset we should have as we close out the old and usher in the new year. We know just because we’re celebrating the birth of our Savior and celebrating new beginnings Satan and his house did not go on vacation for five seconds trying to make your life and mine as miserable as he possibly can. He finds vessels that he can use to carry out his diabolical schemes against man. He definitely is no respecter of persons. And I mean literally. From cradle to grave he’s out to steal, kill, & destroy by any means necessary. Believers must gird up the loins of their minds as we close another chapter in our lives only to begin the next. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We’ve got to reign this mind into being transformed by the renewing of it. This means war people of God and the devil’s not taking any prisoners. He’s taking out men, women, and children showing no mercy. That means we’re to remain in high-high alert. And this high status is to remain until Jesus comes. For we are in the last days and perilous times are now. Put on the whole armor soldier!

Scripture for Sunday, 1-3-21
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it,” 1 Cor. 10:13 (KJV).
