Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. our first Sunday worship service is scheduled, and the second Sunday worship service is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at 11 a.m. We will not have any other worship services during the month of August other than the Bible study services. I am working closely with CCC’s Medical Emergency Response Team in order that CDC protocol for COVID-19 is observed while we phase in the Sunday worship service. We’re continuing to monitor the COVID-19 uptick in our area and are mindful that there has been an increase in infections in the Glynn, Camden, Chatham, & McIntosh counties as well as all over the country. Again, I’m asking Partners to follow COVID-19 protocol to wear masks, practice physical distancing, washing of hands, and follow the information posted around the Church to keep a safe atmosphere for all who attend our worship services. I will monitor attendance during these first 2 Sunday worship services but right now I am not going to require Partners to sign up for Sunday services because I don’t think there will be a huge turn-out because of the pandemic. I know that many have questions about why there’s so much of a problem getting this virus under control. As I am typing this Pastor’s Pen I have just received news that another Christian well known in this community just succumbed to COVID-19. What’s truly heartbreaking about this news that makes it doubly sad is the mother-in-law just passed from COVID-19 just a few days ago. They did not believe in taking the vaccines. The distrust, politicizing, false narratives, and the like have caused a lot of hesitancy in receiving the vaccines. Presently the numbers are going in the wrong direction but the good thing about it is many have received the vaccine and it has made a tremendous difference in the landscape of things as it concerns the eradication of this illusive virus. I know God is able and I pray that everyone uses wisdom in making their decision in how they proceed forward and that no one else dies from this dreadful virus. Be safe everyone and Keep the Vision Alive!
