We’re all hearing how the COVID-19 virus infections are going back up in most states to the point of concern to many health workers. At present, I intend to continue with plans to open our Sunday worship service for those parishioners that are comfortable with returning to live services. For those who are not comfortable, or are more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus, please do not feel pressured to return to live worship services at this time. I understand your concerns and respect that. For those who do want to be in the worship services please know that we are continuing to practice CDC guidelines and COVID-19 protocol that we have outlined in our COVID-19 protocol for re-opening services that we’ve posted online on our website at cccwaverly.org. At present I’m cautiously optimistic that as long as our partners are getting vaccinated and practicing CDC guidelines such as physical distancing, wearing of protective masks, and washing of hands, we will continue to have a safe environment at Calvary Christian Center. If an unsafe environment in our immediate area and communities is determined by reputable health organizations such as the CDC, or the Georgia Coastal Health District, then we will follow the necessary steps to ensure our parishioners are safe and not put anyone into harm’s way but will use alternate ways, such as what we have done in the past year, to continue sharing the message of Christ online on our website. We want to keep an atmosphere of safety for all that attend our worship services also realizing that wisdom is to be practiced at this time in our country as well as abroad. Personally, I think that it is so unnecessary for anyone to be suffering from getting infected from COVID-19 when vaccinations are so available even among our youth. I respect anyone’s concern about the vaccinations and that’s why we do not encourage any arm twisting methods to get partners to attend services. I do believe though that there is so much misinformation out there that has cost people their lives and that’s a travesty. We’ll continue monitoring health information coming from our health representatives and act accordingly.
