Prayer For Our Generation

SiteManager • March 27, 2022

Prayer for our generation is much needed as we are experiencing an uneasiness in the land.  Prayer for peace, goodwill for all mankind.  The Church is to stand in the gap for the land, 2 Chron. 7:14.  The prayers of the righteous availeth much.  As  Ezek. 22:30 (KJV) reads:  30   And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.   God needs us to stand in the gap for our world, our country, our neighborhoods, our communities, our families, and for one another.  The Church is in the most strategic position to do so.  Just as Abraham stood in the gap for his nephew Lot and God sent angels to get Lot out of Sodom before judgment fell, so the prayers of the saints will make a difference today.  When Peter was put in jail, the saints prayed for him without ceasing and God sent an angel to free Peter from the prison. When Peter knocked at the door where the saints were praying, they didn’t believe it was Peter, even though they were praying for his deliverance.  Prayer changes things.  Jesus said that men should always pray and not to faint.  Prayer is powerful .   22   And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  23   For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  24   Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive  them , and ye shall have  them25   And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses,  .   Mark 11:22-25 (KJV).   The Bible said that Elijah prayed in James 5:17, that it not rain and it didn’t for 3 1/2 years.  God gave His Church a tool in our spiritual arsenal that is a game-changer in the spiritual warfare that we find ourselves in each and every day, and that’s the power of prayer.  Prayer is our direct line to God that the Church has access to any time day or night. Let’s pray.

In the time of trouble and disappointment we’ve got to remember that we have God’s Spirit in us and the Holy Spirit will help us in the time of trouble. He’s a very present help in the time of need. Let the Spirit of God minister unto you during these times. Personally, I have to make time, set aside space, for the distinct purpose of listening to God. He never fails me. Whenever I call on Him, He’s there. I’ve never been disappointed or concerned that when I need my God, He’s not available. His presence is tangible, and His love is unconditional and everlasting. I can lean and depend on Him. I talk to the Holy Spirit and He talks back to me. I’m always aware of His presence. I reverence Him and respect Him and He always represents the Father and the Son. He’s God, the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity. The Word of God reveals to us His ministry in the earth. He leads us, guides us, is our Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Helper, Counselor, and Standby. The Holy Spirit is essential to our salvation, Titus 3:4–7 (KJV): 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. He’s my prayer partner, my friend, in whom I have fellowship, communion with, and relationship with, that is my desire to have with Him every second of the day, 24-7’s, 365 days a year. He’s my life, my joy, peace, and the lifter of my head. He reminds me of who I am in Christ, brings things back to my remembrance, and helps me to discern spiritual things. I trust in Him. Over the years of my Christian experience, if there’s one thing that I have come to appreciate, it’s my relationship with the One who is with us in this earth presently, the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Father, for your Holy Spirit. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 11-9-25 Acts 11:16 (KJV) 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Thank you, Lord, for your Holy Spirit. The gift of the Holy Spirit is the greater blessing from Heaven. He’s God, the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity. To practice His presence in our lives is to be aware that God sees all, knows all, and hears all that we do in this life which should encourage a life consecrated, sanctified, set apart, and holy unto the Lord. The Holy Spirit gives strength to those without strength. All of us have found ourselves without strength, that is, human strength, but when that divine strength manifests, we know it. You can tell when it happens. You know when God’s strength manifests because the weight of your problems are gone. Your spirit man becomes more sensitive to the Holy Spirit and we’re reminded that we are the children of God. Hallelujah! Strength comes through the power of the Holy Spirit. The gifts and anointings of the Holy Spirit put super on our natural and we are enabled to do the works of Christ and greater works than these shall we do. Sometimes we want others to affirm us when the Holy Spirit affirms us, Romans 8:16 (KJV): 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. He will reign us back into spiritual reality because our natural man will forget that we have covenant rights, and that we have power with God, Acts 1:8 (KJV): 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. There’s power with the Holy Spirit. When we need a rhema Word the Holy Spirit will bring that Word back to our remembrance. What God’s Word says concerning a specific situation, He’ll bring that Word back to us and we know our Helper helps us. He speaks to us in that still small voice that He is with us, in us, and for us at all times. The Holy Spirit lives in us and takes His abode inside of us. He helps us in prayer, not that we don’t know how to pray, but what to pray the Holy Spirit helps us. Thank you, Holy Spirit. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 11-2-25 John 1:33 (KJV) 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. Focus we must be in this generation of deception, lies, and conspiracy theories. We’re children of the kingdom and serving in God’s kingdom is the highest honor. Our allegiance is to the most high God Jehovah, Yahweh, Yeshua. The quagmire that the Church will find itself in today, if we’re not spiritually minded, is identifying with a political party and that being priority over our identification with Christ which, in my humble opinion, will lead to some strange and awkward companionships forced upon the parties involved. For instance, if I’m a born again Christian and I’m asked to go along with some rule that’s clearly against the Word of God then we’ve got a problem, or should have a problem, which is my point. Too many Christians compromise their faith to fit into a political party and what a person does is between them and the good master, but here’s the problem with that position. Once you cross that line your credibility as a representative, ambassador, and a citizen of the kingdom of God is all but non-existent. When we can’t call right right and wrong wrong then who is going to listen to us when we say we’re speaking for God? When Christians go along with evil because it’s their team but are quick to condemn others for the same thing, it’s hypocrisy. The word hypocrisy in the Bible means stage actor. What we have in this age are stage actors who are professional liars and will rob, cheat, and steal in order to have their political way. Truth is thrown out the window. The war cry is by any means necessary regardless of who it may hurt or destroy. This, while Christians stand idly by and are silent. Dr. Fredrick K. C. Price made a profound statement in his series titled, “Race, Religion, & Racism, A Bold Encounter with Division in The Church” when he said, “Racism could not have flourished in America without the consent of the Church.” In His Service, Pastor Jeffery Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 10-26-25 2 Corinthians 5:20 (KJV) 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV): 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. The ministry of helps is a supernatural ministry listed among things such as miracles and healings. It is a “gift” from God set in the Church like a concrete pillar to hold things up. Eph. 4:11, 12 (KJV): 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, h prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Christians who are maturing and growing in the Lord will exhibit three qualities of assistance. They will build up and add to the welfare of God’s family, the Church. They will learn to minister, to help or serve, others. Then finally, they will help the Pastor and not hinder him. The ministry of helps is a supernatural ministry set in the Church by God to help bring to pass the vision or goal God gave the Pastor. The simple definition of helps is “one who gives assistance to the weak and needy.” God never intended for any Believer to be a pew warmer week after week. He put you in your Church to help. Where people do not help, the body of Christ is weak. The Church is made stronger when you are strong in the ministry of helps toward others. The Church is weak when everyone looks at a problem and says, “I wish someone would do something about that.” 1 Corinthians 12:18, 26, 27 (KJV): 18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. Everyone in the body of Christ is an integral part in bringing the vision to pass that God have given the Pastor. God have equipped the Church with the ministry gifts necessary to bring the vision to pass and complete the great commission that God have given the Church. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Joshua 1:9 (KJV): 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Moses, the great deliverer of the Jews, had died and the Lord would now raise up another to lead His people on into the promise land, a land flowing with milk & honey. Milk & honey symbolizes a place of prosperity and plenty. Joshua was a young man who had sat at the feet of Moses and observed how God used him mightily in the deliverance of His people out of Egyptian bondage. Joshua was there to see the miracles that caused Pharaoh to let God’s people go, Ex. 4:1-9. When God delivered Israel through the Red Sea, Ex. 14. When He led them in a cloud by day and a fire by night, Ex. 13:21, 22. On Mt. Sinai when God gave Moses the ten commandments, Ex. 20:1-17. Joshua witnessed God be with Moses during the rebellions in the wilderness, Ex. 32; Num. 13:17-33; 16:31-35. God let Joshua know that He would be with him as He was with Moses. Joshua 1:5 (KJV): 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. As God was with Moses and Joshua, He is with His people today. In these contemporary times He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. Numbers 14:8–9 (KJV): 8 If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. 9 Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not. I pray the spirit of Joshua and Caleb fill this land of milk and honey. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 10-12-25 1 Kings 18:21 (KJV) 21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. Vision will change you in ways that you never expected because it places a demand on your being that can be life changing. When you put your whole heart into something, your total person spirit, soul, and body, can become immersed in it. God gives us vision because life is so awesome when we begin to experience it’s hidden rewards just enough to stir up our creativity. Then, God blesses us to share in the joy of the blessings when those hidden jewels are revealed, and we too share in the achievement of discovering them. Vision tugs at our creativity, potential, and abilities. We have not tapped into all that God have for them that believe. Our visions for our personal lives are intertwined with the grand vision from Heaven and the sooner we receive that revelation the sooner we walk into all that God have for our lives. Throughout the Word of God, we see the connection with personal vision and the greater scheme of things. God reveals His will to men and then it’s up to us to believe that what God have revealed to us, He is well able to perform. Romans 4:17–21 (KJV): 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. When vision is embraced, deadlines are met, programs start on time, there’s excitement in the air, and energy abounds because all hearts are on bringing the vision to pass all to the glory of God. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 10-5-25 Genesis 15:5 (KJV) 5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. It is amazing to me that when it comes to faith and vision how closely related they are. You can practically substitute vision in place of faith in Heb. 11:1 and the verse would not be unsound in any way. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV): 1 Now faith (substitute vision in place of faith) is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (not perceived by the senses) . Sense the correlation between faith and vision in Genesis 15 (KJV): 1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. 2 And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? 3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. 4 And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. 5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. 6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. God gave the vision to Abraham. Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Why? Because he believed God and acted like he believed God which now becomes faith. Abraham’s actions were proof that he believed God. Faith needs action and vision needs action. Faith without works is dead faith, and vision without works is dead vision. Proverbs 29:18 (KJV): 18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he. One translation reads, “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint.” They have no discipline, boundaries, limits, or restraints necessary to bring a vision to pass. Vision and faith are not the same thing, but they need one another. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 9-28-25 Hebrews 11:12–13 (KJV) 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. We are truly living in perilous times, but it’s not a time whereas we forget who we are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:37 (KJV): 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. The eagle Christian is an overcomer. We are overcomers! For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. I am confident in my God, in myself, and in my brother, because I am an overcomer. I confess that all my needs are met and that I am prosperous spirit, soul, and body. I am blessed because I am an overcomer. Every weapon of Satan against me will fail. I am victorious in every arena of my life, all to the glory of God, my Rock, my Redeemer, and my Salvation, because I am an overcomer! The strength of the eagle is his diet. The eagle Christian’s strength is his diet of the Word of God . Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV): 3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. Of course, the Word of God is diet for the spirit man, the soulish man, and the natural man, the total man. Man does not live by natural means only, but he is a spirit, who has a soul and lives in a body. The Word of God is the truth and the light for mankind. John 8:31–32 (KJV): 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Psalm 119:105 (KJV): 105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path. The eagle Christian is in covenant with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and have covenant rights and precious promises. Jesus is the surety (guarantee) of that covenant which gives His covenant people power and authority . Matthew 16:19 (KJV): 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. All of the misleading information that enters our ear gates and our eye gates are very harmful to a healthy self-esteem. God sometimes uses colorful language to point us to some spiritual truth. God gave us a creative imagination that is stimulated by creative language that challenges our psyche. We see God use colorful language throughout the Old & New Testament to stir the interest of the Believer. Throughout the Bible we find symbolism, metaphors, types & shadows, allegories, parables, and colorful language by which God reveals spiritual truths. For instance, Jesus many times used parables to convey spiritual truth. In the parable of the sower there is an analogy drawn between the sower sowing seed into different grounds and the Word of God being sown in the hearts of men, Matt. 13:3-9, 18-23. In the book of Revelation and in the book of Daniel are much symbolic language such as in Daniel 2:31-45 when God, through Daniel, revealed unto King Nebuchadnezzar different kingdoms, including his kingdom of Babylon, through the image of a man made of different metals that were symbolic of kingdoms that would be established after king Nebuchadnezzar. The Old Testament with its types and shadows, is filled with language that is symbolic of spiritual truths future. The priest’s garments were symbolic of the glory of God. The sacrifices, the tabernacle, the altar, the laver, the altar of incense, the candlestick, the shewbread, the Ark of the Covenant with all of its items all symbolized some spiritual truth pertaining to our salvation. One of the birds that God uses to convey to the child of God that he has the spirit of a champion in him is the eagle. The eagle is the symbol of strength, confidence, grace, and excellence. The qualities of the eagle not only reflects the nature of God but also the nature of the eagle Christian. The world may not value you, but God does. He gave His only Son and proved it. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 9-14-25 Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. My potential will be realized when I know who I am in Christ. God’s Word is the only truth in this earth that reveals to me my potential and the potential of every person. If we won’t believe it though, then what good will it do to have the most powerful truth revealed and not believe it, yet that is exactly where we find ourselves in this generation. What more of a powerful revelation is there than the one and only true and living God, who spoke the worlds into existence, created man in His image, and everything that was created was created by Him, who knows all, is omnipresent, and omnipotent, who knows every intricate detail about us and His plans and purposes for each and every one of us, He reveals to me who I am knowing the beginning from the ending, and everything in between, what more powerful revelation can men receive than from God? That being said, we have that most powerful revelation practically in every home, hotel, in written form, software programs, on cd, dvd, and every medium you can imagine. We have it, but mankind as a whole treat it as of no value, compared to it’s true value. Matthew 13:44–46 (KJV): 44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. My God reveals to me that I am strong, awesomely made, creative, valuable, and am a citizen of His kingdom. I choose to believe this awesome God. To God be the glory.
