Though the 21 Day Consecration concludes on today, the restoration of the Tabernacle of David prophesied in Amos 9:11, 12 is the plans and purposes of God at this present time for the Church which is the center focus of this last day Pentecost that’s already begun. Studying the life of king David gives us insight into the Church’s part in this move of God. We’ve examined David’s quest returning the Ark of the Covenant, which was the presence and power of God during the days of Israel, but David’s life represents so much more. David’s actions were the outflow of his faith. I would even go as far as saying that David had great faith if I were to judge his faith by his actions. David was listed as one of the faith greats in Heb. 11:32 (KJV): 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets. In the Apostle Paul’s revelation of the faith of Abraham being counted to him for righteousness, David’s quote from Ps. 32:1, 2 (KJV) was cross-referenced in Rom. 4:6-8 (KJV): 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Psalm 32:1-2 (KJV): 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. David’s faith was beyond his time. He spoke as one under grace and not under the Law of Moses. The heart of David was to please his God, Acts 13:22 (KJV): 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. In these last days the Lord is building a spiritual house of Davids, those who have a heart to please their God. We are that generation of Christians.
