The Spirit of the Lord is the Church’s Helper, Comforter, Intercessor, Advocate, & Strengthener. He is the promise of the Father to the Church in these last days. Without the Holy Spirit we would be powerless over our flesh, and against the enemy. He will help us if we let Him. As we embark upon this new season of 2023 God is our Rock and has us in mind as He restores His people to His best for their lives. That does not mean that Satan is going to roll over and not do what he does, but God have given us power over all of the power of the enemy. We have been ministering from Acts 15:13-17 and the Holy Spirit is very much a part of the restoration of the Tabernacle of David. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is synonymous with the age of the Church. He will guide you and I if we let Him. We play a part in how much the Holy Spirit is involved in our lives. We do have a say in what degree God is allowed in our lives. The Word of God is clear that we may fellowship with the Holy Spirit, Philip. 2:1 (KJV): 1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies. We are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit, Eph. 5:18 (KJV): 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit. Thank God for the Holy Spirit. At so many intervals in my life I can attest to the Spirit of God’s involvement that put me over the top and I got the victory in each individual situation. Many of those situations could have ended in turmoil but with God’s help, I experienced a much better outcome. At other times, even with the help of the Holy Spirit, situations may not turn out for the best, but it’s not because of God not doing His part, it’s the fallow ground of the hearts of men who ignore God’s will and plans for their lives. None-the-less, the Holy Spirit endues with power, and that power is for character building and service in the kingdom of God. That service is for the work of ministry as revealed in Eph. 4:12 (KJV): 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. To God be the glory.
In His Service,
Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison
