Prophesy is proof that the Word of God is a sure foundation, not that Believers need proof, but there are doubters, scoffers, and unbelievers, who may want proof that the Word of God is truth. God revealed thousands of years in advance things that would happen future and as sure as He revealed it, it came to pass. It was revealed in Jesus would be betrayed by a friend in Ps. 41:9 (KJV): 9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. It was fulfilled in Matt. 26:47-50 (KJV): 47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. 48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. 49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him. 50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. We are that generation that was prophesied about in Amos 9:11, 12, that God would raise up called by His name in 1 Pet. 2:9, who would be after God’s own heart as David was according to Acts 15:16, for such a time as this. If prophesy past is any indication, then what God says He will bring to pass He will do. We are living in the greatest time of the Church because according to Acts 2:14-18, this is the age of the Spirit, and according to Acts 15:13-17, this is also the age of the Church. These are the times whereas the Word reveals are perilous times according to 2 Tim. 3:1, but also the generation of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as well. So, though we live in perilous times, we are also in the best time of the Church, with the revelation of Jesus Christ,
the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and the canon of scripture, the body of Christ is more equipped than any other time in history to walk in victory. We’re also in the most blessed place to carry on the great commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel that men may come into a saving knowledge of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ which is the mind of God according to Acts 15:17. Praise the Lord!
