Today we will not be having worship services at CCC because we will be celebrating the 35th ministry anniversary with Pastor Leon Washington and the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church family. God have blessed this man of God along with First Lady Washington to be a voice for the kingdom of God not only for the 35 years in ministry, but Pastor Washington have served in different capacities even before his tenure at Evergreen. God said that He would give Pastors who would feed His people with knowledge and understanding. Pastor Washington and First Lady Washington have been two of those leaders who have done just such in the kingdom. To God be the glory! My prayer for them today is that God continue to smile upon them and their faithfulness in future commitments in ministering to a generation present and future. Our God is a generational God and raises up Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists, & Pastors, to
speak, not only to this present generation, but to speak the blessings of God into the next generation as well. I pray that He continues to raise up the five-fold ministry until Jesus comes that will speak the Word of faith in a fashion that they can catch the revelation for themselves. I personally believe that we can preach and teach the Word out of our own understanding of God’s revelation, but until people get the understanding of the revelation for themselves it will not profit them. God continue to saturate this earth with His prophets who will not settle for less than the unadulterated truth of God’s Word but who will also minister the Word in such a way as it will not compromise its integrity but with the wisdom of God to convince the hearers that these things are so. Praise be to God! You and I are blessed to have had faithful gospel workers who turned us on to the things of God and because of them they contributed to our
spiritual growth and maturity. For that we tell God thank you and we thank those who went before us and were faithful to the core with the mission that God placed in their hands and today, because of them, souls have been snatched from the darkness into His marvelous light.
