If we are walking by faith then we believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy,” Acts 2:14-18 (KJV). The Church age is also the age of the Holy Spirit. Studying the New Testament reveals the Holy Spirits’ involvement in every aspect of the Believers’ salvation experience. The Holy Spirit is the agent of the new birth, 2 Cor. 5:17. He is the Believer’s Comforter, Jn. 14:15-17. He’s our character builder, Gal. 5:22, 23. In Rom. 8:14 He’s our inward witness. In Rom. 8:13 He gives us power over sin. The Holy Spirit helps us in prayer, Rom. 8:26. He brings things to our rememberance , Jn. 14:26. In Jn. 16:13 the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, does not speak of Himself, and shows future events. He gives us understanding of God’s Word, 1 Cor. 2:14. He is the Agent by which Believers are baptized into the Body of Christ, 1 Cor. 12:13. His indwelling presence is for character building, Jn. 3:3-8, and His infilling power is for Christian service, Acts 1:8. As we examine end time events it is essential to our success fulfilling our purpose and destiny to understand the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
