“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this,” Is. 9:6, 7 (KJV). As we come to the close of another year and the next one is upon us, it is quite refreshing to take time during the Christmas celebration to give praise, honor, and glory to God. Also it’s a great time for reminiscing and reflection on all that the Lord have done for us throughout the year. After all, Jesus is the reason for the season. He’s King of kings and Lord of lords. He is our salvation, our Redeemer, and our Rock. He’s worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. It’s these foundational truths that are the pillows of the Christian faith. That Christ is our Substitution, the Lamb that was slain, our Propitiation, Savior, and our God. These truths are what makes our salvation like the Parable of the Pearl of Great Price and the Parable of the Hidden Treasure. They are priceless and of the highest value. No wonder the Lord goes to great lengths to protect those He have invested so much into. He has demonstrated the power of His love to usward that we have the promise of His Word that nothing can separate us from it. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord,” Rom. 8:38, 39 (KJV). That includes in these last days that even the deceiving spirit of this age will not separate us from the love of God, “…for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest,” Josh. 1:9 (KJV).
