Champions are usually known for their strength and courage. We’re captivated by those who display exemplary character and charisma. No wonder that our superheroes are men and women of strength and power. Heroes that help the less fortunate and protect the weak from those stronger and more powerful than they who would take advantage of their weaker brethren. But in the real world champions deal with the same fears, insecurities, and uncertainties as do everyone else and sometimes become victims of the very thing they’ve protected others from. Heroes are people too. They make mistakes too. Real heroes pray to God for help, guidance, wisdom, and strength. They realize their humanity and their mortality that they need help in this life if they are to be effective in their endeavors. As Christians , we too must know where our help comes from. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber,” Ps. 121:1-3 (KJV). Today’s heroes are men and women just like us who have big hearts and great respect for others. Circumstances, in many cases, draw them into problem situations that need real leadership to come in and handle. Throughout history , great leaders came about as a result of great problems. They stepped up to the plate. They saw a need and were willing to take on the hard problem since no one else would. The help that Father God gives us for the work of ministry is within us in no other than the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit. “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever – The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you,” Jn. 14:16, 17 (AMPLIFIED BIBLE). Keep the Vision Alive!
