“Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied,” Matt. 5:6 (Amplified Bible). When men have a strong desire after the things of God we have this promise in Matt. 5:6 that that desire will be filled and the spirit man will find satisfaction and that satisfaction is found in His Presence. “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever,” 1 Chr. 28:9 (KJV). “And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you,” 2 Chr. 15:2 (KJV). “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you,” Matt. 6:33 (KJV). Seeking after His righteousness is to be clothed in the righteousness of God. But also to walk in holiness, the natural consequence of the righteousness of Christ in our lives. Therefore they that hunger and thirst after righteousness thirst after His Presence in their lives. They thirst for fellowship, communion, and relationship with their Creator. His glory manifested in their lives, for they shall be filled. They shall experience His Presence to the fullness. He will be found of those that seek after Him and His glory will be revealed. When the people of God yearn for His Presence in their lives refusing to allow the enemy to come between them and their God, their thirst will be quenched and their souls satisfied for their God is with them wherever they go. The God of our salvation will keep our hearts and minds. Amen!
