“Thank you Lord” is all that I can say after Hurricane Dorian. A week ago today we were in prayer that God would watch over us and protect our area and He answered prayer. Compared to the Bahamas we dare not complain. There were people praying in the Bahamas as well, and yet they received the blunt of the storm for whatever reason I can’t explain. I don’t claim to have all of the answers for why some Christians go through bad times except that because of sin man and earth were cursed and sometimes these things are the consequences of it. One thing I am confident of, God sent His Son that we might have life and have it more abundantly. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Satan is a thief and our enemy. Jesus is our Lord & Savior and has our best interest at heart. Today I am thankful for having been able to come home to the same house in the same condition that I left it. And as far as I’m concerned it was as a result of the prayers of the saints. But for now the Bahamas need our prayers and our help. Me personally, to express my appreciation and thanks to God for protecting our area, I’m planning to support one of the non-profit organizations that’s sending aid and help to the Bahamas. That’s the least I can do. Also I’m continuing in prayer during this hurricane season that His divine protection continue over this area. Hurricane season is not over with yet. But our God shall supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. His promise to us is that He will be with us even unto the end of the world. The same God that kept us through Dorian, Irma, and Matthew will keep us now. My faith and my trust is in Him. God’s plan for man does not include hurricanes, storms, death, poverty, sickness, or any of the ills that haunt mankind today. But His vision is a vision of love, peace, joy, and fellowship with His Church. We’re blessed to be part of that vision. Keep the Vision Alive!
