Approx. 17 yrs. ago the leadership of this ministry asked me to consider accepting the role of Pastor since the former Pastor, Rev. Enoch Lee had went on to be with the Lord. I met with the leadership and the congregation of this Church over a period of time. Afterward I accepted the invitation. Shortly after I shared with the leadership the vision God gave me for Calvary in one of the earlier Leadership Banquets in which we laid out in the programs and several Leadership Banquets afterwards. We’ve since then had several leadership workshops with the vision in mind. In other words working to bring the vision to pass, and unto this day we have done just that. The vision of the Church is the vision according to God’s Word. There’s no vision for Heaven and another vision for the Church. His will is to be done in earth as it is in Heaven. Whatever the Lord’s will is for this age should be what our will is. As we encourage the vision today I want the partners to consider what good is it to be a part of a local Church. Many don’t stop and think that there’s chaos all around us and the influence of God through the local Church has played a part in the members of that local Church having proper instruction and teaching that has kept them out of that chaos. Just look around you saints. The scripture in Pr. 29:18 (NLT) is so very true. “When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law (God’s Word) is happy.” This country is running wild. Many of this generation are running wild and if it were not for the Lord on our side you and I would be running wild too. Therefore let us “Keep the Vision Alive” “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay,” Hab. 2:3 (NIV).
