As I read the news and watch news stations I can’t help but notice the hate that’s being expressed by many across our nation. This especially since the explosion of social media which exposes some of the most hateful language that I’ve ever seen in my 61 years of living. I’ve been pretty athletic all of my life. I played sports all throughout school. I enlisted for 11 years in the military and have been active in the gym. There are many things that I’ve come across on social media that I could not watch. I couldn’t watch the video where Ahmaud Arbery was murdered after my initial viewing. I can’t watch some of the police brutality captured on video. There were protests where people were plowed into by motorists that are absolutely difficult to watch. There was one video placed on FB whereas a group of young ladies beat another young lady senseless after they lured her into one of their homes. I could not watch it a second time because it was just that gruesome. The hateful language that’s used by those of opposing political parties is shocking. Much of this is among Christians who sit in Church services all over this country. Hate is destroying the fabric of this nation with many confessing Christians at the forefront. What Bible are they reading? Are they reading the Bible at all? Rom. 12:18 (KJV) reads: “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord,” Heb. 12:14 (KJV). “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers,” Eph. 4:29 (KJV). “Abstain from all appearance of evil,” 1 Thess. 5:22 (KJV). “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” 1 Jn. 4:20 (KJV).
