I want to take the time to update partners on where the ministry is headed as it relates to re-opening services, the COVID-19 pandemic, and some additional things we’re doing as a result of suggestions from Board of Directors members and partners of the ministry. We’re pushing forward with preparations (and I emphasize preparations) for re-opening services when it is safe to do so. We have begun though, with getting the sanctuary prepared. We would like for anyone who is willing to volunteer to serve, especially if you work in the medical field, please contact me, Pastor Muchison, and let me know. We will need help to insure we do all in our power to protect all of our partners when we do re-open services. Starting this Monday, 10-5-20, at 7:30 p.m. we will begin having a Bible study via Zoom. We will still have the Bible study on video and uploaded to the website like we’ve done since the beginning of the pandemic. I’m including the information to connect to the Zoom meeting in the announcements. I’m meeting with leaders to prepare for the re-opening of services as well as continue planning strategies for next dimension ministry. There have been several ideas put forth already in our Board meetings concerning creative ways to have outdoor services which will be much safer than indoor services while we’re still in this pandemic. We’re looking at these since many Churches are now having outdoor services using large tents to hold their meetings under. Of course we will need the proper equipment such as a powerful enough p. a. system that would be sufficient for services outdoors because we will need more volume than the current mobile p. a. system that we have. And even with that we will need to practice CDC guidelines and protect our most vulnerable members. We will update partners accordingly.
