I want to take this opportunity to address the progress of preparations for re-opening Church services at Calvary Christian Center in this Pastor’s Pen. I have been meeting with leaders in the ministry here at CCC to discuss plans for re-opening services as well as what it would take to have our sanctuary prepared to once again receive parishioners back into the building. In order to be thorough about preparations, we hired SACS (Savannah Analytical & Consulting Services) to come in and inspect our building structure since we had several leaders observe some mildew and mold that had developed during the pandemic when the building was pretty much closed up with little air circulation. SACS tested our air as well as several samples from every room and from several surfaces throughout the sanctuary, finance office, fellowship hall, kitchen, restrooms, foyer, hallways, etc. The results were quite substantial compared to what we thought. Therefore before we are ready to allow parishioners back into the building for normal services we are hiring a professional company to come in and sanitize our sanctuary and all areas within our Church structure to ensure that our facility is safe and healthy for returning back to normal operations. I have previously mentioned that we will first open our Bible study to go to the next phase in the re-opening of our services which will be phase 3, the re-opening of services to partners less susceptible to COVID-19, under 65, or who have had their vaccination shots. Of course, the COVID-19 protocol will still be observed through until such a time as the CDC clears those protocols due to herd immunity. That, saints, is to protect our partners. Know that faith is coupled with the proper corresponding action so that when our faith is seen in the eradication of the virus, then you relax the safety precautions that we’re presently taking to protect ourselves from this virus. Until then let’s continue taking the proper precautions to keep ourselves and our fellow Believers safe. We, your leaders in CCC, will do all within our power to keep everyone safe inside the sanctuary. That is my promise to you. Keep the Vision Alive!

Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison
