Well, the past 2 yrs. have been an experience for our country as well as our world with the COVID-19 pandemic, shutdowns, furloughs, business closures, jobs lost, and all of the fallout from the pandemic whose tentacles reached out into every aspect of our lives. I, for one, have never faced a pandemic such as we have seen with COVID-19 and I would not be shocked to know that not many others in this generation have had to face one either. We all have had to learn how to make adjustments such as physical distancing, the wearing of masks, vaccinations, washing of hands, avoiding crowds, and the like. Many lives have gone on during this time though and I personally am thankful to God that I, nor anyone in my family, have had to attend a funeral because of COVID-19, though our family did experience the transitioning of our beloved Sister-in-love Doris Muchison, who is missed dearly. Other families though have not been as blessed and have had to attend the going home services of their loved ones, many of whom we all knew and have been blessed to have had relationships with. For those families we lift up to God now and that His peace be with them and His grace be upon them in the name of Jesus. You and I though, have been blessed to be here still, and we can appreciate the more the sacredness of life. We can appreciate even the more the preciousness of life and how we must maximize our time on this earth on those things that are priority for us and not waste our precious time on foolish things that don’t add value to our lives. And then the other thing is it forces us to think about eternity, the afterlife, life after death, and those subjects that we don’t like to talk about but we all know that eventually, we will face unless we go up in the rapture and even then we will be changed, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory,” 1 Cor. 15:52-54 (KJV). Amen!

Scripture for Sunday, 11-21-21
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (KJV)
55
O death, where is
thy sting? O grave, where is
thy victory?
56
The sting of death is
sin; and the strength of sin is
the law.

But thanks be
to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
