What would be the commentary of Jesus, the Light of the world, on man’s present stewardship of those things that have been placed into his hands? Ps. 8:4-9 (KJV) reads 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! What would the Lord say about man’s dominion over the works of His hands? Men will give an account of how we’ve done the things that we have done to those things that God gave us dominion over including how we have treated our fellow man. We have much to answer to God for and this generation especially, since we have more light than in any other generation to illuminate the way for us, yet we seem at times to be the most blinded. When the Light is shining the brightest men are the blindest, M att. 24:14 (KJV): 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. You would think that when this gospel of the kingdom is preached in all of the world then it would be the best time for mankind, yet it is just the opposite. Instead of men drawing closer to the Light he has become a god unto himself, selfish, self-centered, and all about himself. If you don’t believe it, just observe the world around us, lies, hatred, murder, rape, divorce, abortion, racism, deceit, hypocrisy, kidnappings, drugs, sex trafficking, etc. Romans 1:28 (KJV): 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. Even with all of the revelation, the light, that we have today, many will not turn to Him. What a tragedy.
