Many do not know about the contributions to mankind by the descendants of Ham, the father of the Negro and darker-skinned people throughout the earth. God determined the boundaries of their habitation and that is also for all people on the earth. “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation, Acts 17:26 (KJV). And also as the Word revealed in Gen. 10:1, 5, 32 (KJV): “Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations; and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. For the month of February, Black history month, I will highlight a biblical character who is a descendant of Ham. Ham is considered by scholars to be the ancestral father of Negroes, Mongoloids, and Indians. He will be the first character in which we will briefly share in this Pastor ’s Pen. Ham means “dark or black.” Ham’s sons were Cush, Mizraim, Phut, and Canaan. He also was the grandfather of distinguished grandsons such as Nimrod. Down through the years, some have erroneously taught that the Black man was cursed by Noah because of Ham seeing his father’s nakedness. We will address this in the message today. I will say this much, the Black man is not cursed. All who are in Christ have been delivered from any and all curses, Gal. 3:13.
