Well, today we celebrate a very special day today, Mother’s Day. First and foremost, let me say to all the Mothers, Happy Mother’s Day! My prayer is that every Mother today will enjoy a blessed celebration and that you experience many many more in the future. Mother’s Day is always special to me because of all the sweet memories that I have of growing up with my Mom and family. As a young man growing up, I only have good memories of my youth and even into adulthood. The memories of my Mom though, are of love, kindness, strength, provision, protection, and everything good that anyone could ever have about their Mother. I’m blessed to still have my Mom with me and for everyone who still has their Mother, we should appreciate them and love up on them while we have them with us. Plant their flowers on them while they can appreciate them and enjoy them. I see through Mothers the love of our spiritual Father and His Son, our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ. His unconditional love for us can be seen through a Mother’s love. His provision, protection, love, and peace are everything that a Mother wants for her children. God gave that to Mothers so that we would not only understand a Mothers love, but we would understand and get a glimpse of the love of our Father which is in Heaven. Of course, His love was demonstrated through the life, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, today, as we celebrate the wonderful Mothers we all have been blessed to have in our lives, let’s shower them with the love that they have showered on us. Shower them with kisses, love, hugs, presents, flowers, respect, and good gifts to show our appreciation for them and to them. What greater gift, outside of the gift of salvation, can we have more than parents who pass down to us a Christian heritage by which we can know God for ourselves and receive His great salvation, and this not only for us but for our children after us. We pass down to our children as well, this Christian heritage, all to the glory of God. Again, Happy Mother’s Day and enjoy the love showered upon you today.
