Today’s message is a continuation of last Sunday’s message titled “He is not here, He is Risen,” that we may emphasize the power of the resurrection for Christians presently and how the resurrection is key to all that we receive from the gospel of Jesus Christ. If we believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ that sets the stage for all gospel benefits that are at our access. The Apostle Paul makes it abundantly clear that without faith in the resurrection then all of the gospel falls, 1 Corinthians 15:12-19 (KJV): 12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. What the resurrection means for us today is VICTORY! It sealed the truth that we can stand on the Word of God. God will do what He said He would if we believe. God said that He will stand over His Word to perform it, Jeremiah 1:12 (KJV): 12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. His Word will not return void, but will accomplish what God pleases, Isaiah 55:11 (KJV): 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. This is the blessed hope that is the fruit of every Believer who confesses with their mouths the Lord Jesus Christ and believes in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead. We receive so great a
salvation.
