In a high paced world where technology is advancing at warp speed and knowledge is increasing at a phenomenal rate, it can be mind blowing to keep up with it all. Yet keep up we must. We cannot expect a horse and buggy to keep up when we’re in a jet age. This especially is a warning for the contemporary Church. These new technologies and advancements can be used for evil purposes as well as for the good. Good people can take advantage of these advancements and help the poor, create jobs, build better schools, and better the quality of life for all people. I’ve always admired those leaders who promote securing the best that we can secure for all people regardless of your financial status, gender, ethnicity, or any of the other things that divide people. The leaders who impacted our world more from a positive perspective were those leaders who had a compassion for people. They are the real heroes. The Church too, must stay relevant with the times in which we live if we are to be as effective as we can be by taking full advantage as much as lie within us, of what has been made available to us and use it to the glory of God. We must not become complacent and indifferent by turning our heads as if these opportunities are not there. They are here and if we don’t take advantage of these, Satan will. The Bible speaks of how in the end times travel and knowledge will increase,
Daniel 12:4 (KJV):
4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Any student of the Bible knows that we’re in the end times, therefore the Church, like the tribe of Issachar,
1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV):
32
And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
