Why do we see so much negativism and bad things happening to good people? Why does God allow these things to happen and why don’t He step in and stop the evil that we see in our generation? If we were more aware of what’s going on around us we would begin to see why. Many people questioning the things of God. The love of many waxing cold. Do you notice that good people are either quitting in public service, or they’re choosing not to serve because to them it’s not worth it. Less & less are the people we need to be involved in public service are getting involved because of the fight to just do the right thing. The way things are trending, the best people are not wanting any part of key positions in our communities, city governments, state governments, or the U. S. government, even in our religious institutions. Spiritual leaders, good spiritual leaders, are more difficult to find. Leadership means a whole different thing now in this generation. It use to mean you lead by your convictions, but more and more it’s turning into pleasing the status-quo in order to keep your job. It’s a babysitting job,
Habakkuk 1:1-4 (KJV):
1
The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
2
O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3
Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4
Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth. I pray that good people whom are needed in government, good leaders in business, in our houses of worship, our institutions of higher learning, in local government, etc., do not lose that servants heart.
