Finding out what God’s plans and purposes are for our lives in this time is detrimental to our fulfilling our destinies in the earth. In order that we achieve that we must know the voice of God. His Word reveals that His sheep hears His voice. John 10:16 (KJV): 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:27 (KJV): 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. There’s much competing for our attention but we must
prioritize what’s important and what’s not priority in our lives. Every decision must be seasoned by the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We must be sure that whatever we do it’s in alignment with the Word of God. Reality is that many Christians attempt to do things their way and any of us who have had that mindset knows that it does not take long to come to the conclusion that God’s way is the only way, and our finite minds will miss the mark that God have set for us. What we can do though is pray, study the Word, practice His presence in our lives, love with the love of God, live holy, walk by faith and not by sight, knowing that Jesus Christ, the hope of glory, is the guarantee of the covenant that He established in His own blood and that we can be assured in that reality. God is good, and His mercy endureth to all generations. When we do things our way it will lead us on a path to destruction, every time. Proverbs 16:25 (KJV): 25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Oh, but getting the human nature to cooperate with the things of God is
where the fight begins. We all know what the Word of God says about the battle between the spirit of man and his flesh. I know that I have the s in spirit in lower case. That’s because the battle is not between the Holy Spirit and our flesh, but between the human spirit, that wants to follow God, and the flesh. No wonder that God says, “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
