I am excited to be able to include in the announcements today that CCC will be reestablishing its Children’s Church the first Sunday in August. This is truly awesome for the ministry. I have practically every Sunday had one or several of the youth to ask me, “Pastor, when are we going to have our youth Church again?” I would always tell them,” We’re working on it.” No ministry can survive without investing in it’s young people. This is prayer being answered for me and I want to commend Sis. Vicky and the youth leaders for their determination to make it happen. I know that we’re short of help and thank God for Sis. Michelle Massey joining in to help with our Children’s Church as well as others who have stepped up to be of service in whatever capacity that they can. Your service is key to building a youth ministry that will ensure our young people are not left behind but are receiving spiritual nourishment when they are with us. I promise you that this will go far in the hearts and minds of these young people as well as be a blessing to their parents that there are constructive kingdom activities for their youth when they participate in our Church services. We teach that the vision is
“Building lives through the message of Christ,”
well, that must include our youth. From cradle to grave the Church should be the institution for training up our youth in the way that they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from it. One of the purposes for marriage and the family is to train up godly seed to the glory of God,
Malachi 2:14-15 (KJV):
14
Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
15
And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
