The power of God works on our behalf as it has down through the centuries to them that love Him and to them who are the called according to His purpose. God has always been there for His people during the winters of their faith journey. In the good years He has always warned us not to be complacent. The enemy walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, but to no avail to them that walk by faith and not by sight. We are commanded to put on the whole armor of God, armor for the spirit of man, to protect from the devices of the evil one, that old serpent the devil, a defeated foe at that, since Jesus destroyed the works of the devil and made a shew of them openly. Who can stand against the Lord? Who can fight against our God? No one can stand against the Lord, and no one can fight against our God and be victorious. He that spoke the worlds into existence, that spun the stars to their set places, who said, “Let there be light,” and light became, who said, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness,” and the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. That man who learns to love his Creator will abide in the shadow of the Almighty and the Lord shall be his refuge and his fortress, his God, and in Him will he trust. God fights for His people now as He did then and have given us the victory through His Son Jesus Christ. Our victory is sure through our Redeemer, 1 Corinthians
15:57 (KJV): 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. What do we have victory over? We have the victory over everything that separates us from God’s best for our lives. Romans summed it up best, Romans 8:38-39 (KJV): 38 For I am
persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
