Taking care of your spirit, soul, & body, is one of the most important things you can do to maximize your potential on the earth. I specifically want to talk about the body though, since there are different viewpoints on what it means to walk by faith in terms of being prosperous and healthy, even as our souls prosper. I witnessed just in recent months a person who decided that they would believe God to be healed of a disease without having any doctors, or any medical treatment from any hospital facility to help them get the victory over that sickness. They fought a good fight, yet they later succumbed to the disease. Of course, there’s no guarantee that the treatment would have made a difference and I will never tell anyone not to follow the voice of God if they believed God specifically revealed to them not to go to a doctor because He would heal them apart from medical attention, but I would encourage them that they had better make sure it’s God. When God says He’ll supply all our needs and He’ll heal our bodies and work all things together for our good that doesn’t mean it’s time to go on vacation and not work, plan, and do our part in the natural to see these things come to pass. Yes, God says He’ll supply all of our needs, but we use the strength, the mind, and the wisdom that He gives us to do it. God says He’ll heal our bodies and be our Protector, but that don’t mean don’t have regular check-ups with your General Practitioner, or don’t purchase life, health, home, or auto insurance. You’re not trusting in those things, no! Your trust is in the Lord. These things are just the conduits by which God gets the blessings to us. There’s our part that we have as it relates to faith that we are responsible for. God has already done His part, but we must do ours.
