I want to take a moment to update Partners on my current situation. I’ve already thanked everyone at the Church for your prayers, cards, calls, and however you reached out to First Lady and myself. Presently I’m taking it easy pretty much at home allowing my body time to build strength at the instructions of my medical team. I will not be in worship service today but will be in the Bible study on tomorrow because I’m more relaxed in the Bible study and will be back in the worship service on next Sunday. Let me say, as I always have, that I give my God all of the praise, honor, & glory for watching over me during this season in my life. In new series on Sunday titled “Through The Father’s Eyes,” and my new series in the Bible study titled “Yes Faith,” both sum up how I approach the challenges in my life and that’s by viewing it through the Father’s eyes. The Bible says that in all of our ways to acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. Because I’ve grown up in the Church living by faith is all I know. I don’t know what else to tell people when it comes to how to navigate this road called life. Faith is the key to it all. Trusting God through the good times, the bad times, and all of the times between is the only way to go in this life. It’s beyond me how people can go through this life not knowing the Lord in the pardon of their sins and risk spending eternity separated from God. I can’t imagine it. My mind can’t even wrap around that because eternity is more than just a long time, it’s eternity. There’s just no way. The Bible declares in Romans 5:1 that those of us who are justified by faith have peace with God. Partners, the only thing that I can tell y’all is that if there’s One you want to have with you when you’re going through a trial, test, storm or whatever, that One is God. Stay with God. I don’t care how bad it may get, stay with the God of our salvation, our Rock, and the Horn of our salvation. I’m just thankful.
