“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance,” Ps. 33:12 (KJV). Our nation was built on biblical principles from the early settlers that came to our shores to our great institutions and colleges. The Lord have blessed the United States of America in spite of some dark times in it’s history. There’s no doubt that ours is the greatest nation on this earth but like the great Roman empire this nation can fall too if it turns it’s back on God. “And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; the Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you,” 2 Chron. 15:2 (KJV). God warned king Asa, as He warns His people today, that we must commit to God and His way of doing things and then all of the other things will be added unto us. The nation of Israel was also warned throughout the OT before they were carried off into Assyrian and Babylonian captivity. “And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place. But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy,” 2 Chron. 36:15, 16 (KJV). The Word of God equips the people of God for every challenge that they will face including this latter day falling away from God and His kingdom. Through faith in the revelation of God’s Word, the disciplines of prayer and fasting, the studying of His revelation and putting His Word in action, the assembling of ourselves together with Believers of like faith, holding fast the profession of our faith, we, the people of God, will not only weather the imminent storm in these last days but will usher in the latter day glory of the Lord our Rock, our Redeemer and our Salvation. Keep the Vision Alive!
