CCC, please remain diligent with fighting COVID-19. I am amazed at the total lack of the wearing of protective coverings, physical distancing and just plain common sense behavior such as the washing of hands, not congregating irresponsibly without protective coverings, etc., as I see when I am out in the public. As a people we must find a way to be safe without violating everyone’s rights since this seems to be one of the concerns by some that say that their rights are being violated when they are mandated to wear masks but is not people’s rights violated when others put them at risk by not taking proper safety precautions? If one does not wear a mask and don’t know that they have contracted COVID-19 they can easily spread the virus to other persons who refuse to protect themselves as well. Until people take this pandemic seriously we’ll continue to fuel this virus hampering efforts to re-open our country. As Christians we must continue praying for our leaders as well as leading the fight against COVID-19 by example. We continue watching and listening to medical experts on the numbers in Camden, Glynn, & McIntosh counties as we too look forward to getting back to some normalcy, but not unsafely. I pray Father God gives us wisdom on how we should conduct ourselves going forward during this pandemic. Regardless of the ignorance of those who turn this into a political battle we must see pass the recklessness of the few for the betterment of the whole and make informed decisions that will lead us out of this quagmire we’ve dug ourselves into. It’s just a shame that many lives could have been saved if we as a nation would have been diligent and took this thing seriously from the beginning but we squandered those early efforts on half-baked decisions based on political affiliations and wrong information. I hope we learned our lesson.
