As we continue in our series today titled, “It’s Our Time,” I am emphasizing more than just the timing of what God have for His people but more on the truth that reveals what God has done that His people may cease from their human efforts to be righteous in the sight of God. God reveals that everything that has been done for our salvation was done through His Son Jesus Christ. Human effort plays absolutely no part in the reason why we’re saved. Human effort after salvation is birth out of the change that God had on our hearts at the new birth. We’re not perfect, but we’re being transformed by the renewing of our minds. The focus for us should be on faith in what God says and resting in that to the point that we do not allow anything else to govern our actions against what God says. The rest for the people of God is in trusting Him at His Word. Trust Him wholeheartedly, with all our heart, all of our mind, and all of our strength, with everything that is within us. When God is your joy, peace, strength, righteousness, and in His Presence is the fullness of joy, a refreshing coming from the Presence of the Lord, you and I are blessed. It doesn’t stop with just being blessed spiritually, but our souls are blessed, and we’re blessed in our bodies, our total man. As did the faith generals of Heb. 11, we too must see the promises from afar and be fully persuaded in our hearts and minds that God will do what He said He would. God is our portion and the horn of our salvation, whom shall we fear. That faith releases the Provider in our lives that we will have no want for nothing but the all sufficient One will never fail His people. If there is any failing it’s on our part and not on the part of God. Rest in the Lord and let us not follow the example of the Old Testament Church, Israel, whereas they did not mix the Word with faith and therefore missed the rest of God. No! We will not receive that, but our hope is in the Lord and He is our all sufficiency.

Scripture for Sunday, 10-30-22
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Announcements for Sunday, 10-30-22
1. CCC will be having Sunday worship services every Sunday moving forward unless otherwise announced. Bible studies will continue to be announced weekly. CCC will not have Bible study the week of 10-31-22 due to the youth leaders planning to take CCC youth to Pizza Inn for food, games, & fun from 6-8 p.m. Parents can either bring their youth to Pizza Inn or, for the youth living in Waverly, let Sis. Sarah Williams know to pick them up in the Church van and she will pick them up at the Church. CCC will cover all expenses. This will be part of our re-opening of our youth services at CCC. Parents, please coordinate with Sis. Vickie and Sis. Sarah so that they can plan accordingly as to how many youth will attend.
2. CCC will no longer require Partners, nor visitors to wear masks in the Church services but ask everyone to let’s trust each other to use wisdom in when to attend or not attend services. If experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, please don’t attend worship services. We will leave this to the discretion of the worshipper.
