The spirit of many confessing Christians today seems disconnected from the truth of scripture. The message today will close out our series titled, “Through The Father’s Eyes,” and in this message we endeavor to reveal what the heart of the child of God ought to be if we are to believe God’s Word as opposed to the tradition of men. The tradition of men has watered down the gospel message to the Christians experience with God being no more than a series of Church meetings and not the real-life experience with God that the Bible teaches. An experience that transcends every fiber of being for the born again, faith walking, spirit-filled Believer today. I mean it’s obvious to see that the mindset of many confessing Christians today is that Christianity is just to go to Church every now and then and on Easter but don’t ask me to sacrifice any of my personal time, money, gifts, or talents for the cause of Christ, the kingdom, or anything else. They don’t want to hear anything about faithfulness, commitment, serving, or such like when the Bible teaches just that, that God requires no less than our total commitment to Him, Romans 12:1 (KJV): 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service, and that’s spirit, soul, and body, 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV): 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. More and more Christians today are following the mistake of the Pharisees, and that is they are making the Word of God of no effect because of the tradition of men. They make for a false pretense that the man-manufactured rules of men supersede the will of God. It was a great mistake during Bible times and one of the gravest mistakes of Christians today.
