I’m always awed at the creativity of movies today, their storylines and how there’s always a hero and a villain that pulls you into the narrative. We all like heroes because we want to believe that evil will not prevail always and that there’s that persona that will show up just in the nick of time to save the day. In the real world though, it’s much more complicated, especially for the many who have been wronged in this life, abused, mistreated, murdered, and worse. For so many on this earth today, life has not been so good to them because iniquity abounds, the love of many has waxed cold, and cold is being polite. There’s not a lot of hope in people who have been wronged like that, so men commit suicide, give up in life, lose their vision, as many who have no hope do. But in real life there are real life heroes, or to be more precise, saviors because our God is a real-life God with real life answers for real life problems. He brings hope to the hopeless, help for the helpless, strength for the weak, and salvation to the lost. Regardless of how horrific the life experiences that may have been thrown our way; with God all things are possible to them that believe. These type situations are difficult to imagine by those of us who are blessed to have all our needs met, but for those who find themselves in places that they did not ask for, it’s a nightmare, but there is hope today, and that hope is found in the pages of a book that’s still the world’s best seller, the Bible. In it’s pages are life, hope, and the message of love from Heaven, that there is a God in glory who took upon Himself the form of a man and was tempted in every point such as we were, therefore He knows what we go through, what we feel, and what we experience and took upon Himself our infirmities and bore our sicknesses and diseases that we wouldn’t have to and by His stripes we are healed. He offers man life.
